I am looking for them. I have to replace my computer since it fried it self last spring. The idea of having something smaller to carry sounds good to me and I only really need it for typing and internet access at school. Besides staying away from Apple products, I don’t have any particular requirements.

Aww, I was going to say iPad mini.
You should check out the Amazon Kindle Fire, though.

Sadly, mine doesn’t look like that.
(this picture is from back in June, but it hasn’t changed that much since then, other than I put the hood back on it and the front end bits.)

I just picked up a new nexus 7 for $150. Not the latest or greatest but getting the job done. I would have gotten a 9 but it was over double the price.

Looking at them now. I realize its a tablet but does it seem big enough?

This my first tablet, it is bigger Than the phones I have been using for all things internet.
I am happy with it & with it being a nexus it’s not preloaded with crap you may not use.
We bought it because my computer crapped out so basic inter net, pay bills.

Check out the Asus ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580C). They just came out and the specs are really good. Quad core, 2k screen, 2GB Ram, 32gb internal memory. I saw one last week at Best Buy and was very, very impressed.

I have a Winbook TW802 that I bought new from MicroCenter for $100. It’s not the fastest or most powerful, but it runs full Windows 8.1/10, comes with Office 365, plays the “free” games and does internet browsing well enough, though with too many tabs it does creep a bit, having only 2GB RAM. Not much room for extra apps, but it does have a MicroSD card slot, as well as a full USB port, MicroUSB port for charging (yay semi-universal!), and a MicroHDMI port for video-out. Good battery life, WiFi only (I get free tethering from T-Mobile so that doesn’t bother me), and a good overall size that fits in cargo pockets without an issue.
